Build
Green Maine is dedicated to facilitating the rapid transformation of
Maine’s built environment to performance levels that command
greatly reduced energy inputs and which emit far less carbon. Our
purpose is to provide an ongoing forum for the wide-ranging actors in
Maine’s sustainable building and building energy industries, with
our website providing a one-stop portal to consumers of the
wide-ranging sustainability resources available throughout Maine and
in their locale. Working with our partners, we will help to develop
and deliver the professional resources needed by those green collar
agents of Maine’s future economy.
Build Green Maine is working to foster sustainable habitats, workplaces,
and communities in Maine.

Through our community events, we strive for cogent public outreach.
We educate about the benefits and methodologies of green building,
helping people to realize that green building really is better building.
Also, our members constantly educate each other by collaborating on
projects and sharing ideas and expertise.

Our goal is to generate more green construction and living in Maine!
By increasing public awareness and by connecting customers and clients
with resources and industry contacts, we hope to increase the number
of green buildings produced in our region every year.

By providing an outlet for professionals to meet, network, and join forces
we hope to solidify a rapidly growing industry with deep roots in Maine.
